Location: Freedom, WI | They have been planting spotted muskies for over 10 years in Green Bay and in the spring and fall they move into the rivers. Recently they have been reintroducing them to the Winnabago chain. Last year Jomusky, Gene Allen, Steve from Wild Rose hatchery, and I used boats and put 3,000 12inch fish in Lake Poygan (the DNR put a lot more in from shore besides). The clubs from the area have been helping pay the feed bill. Yes a chat from a biologist would be great. |

Location: north central wisconsin | I have been chasing WI spotted skis for three years now, and finally got into them this year, as a buddy and I got nine over 40" in a day and a half in June. I could not duplicate it(unfortunately we didn't find them on that lucky weed flat again on that vast water of Green Bay), and am working hard at patterns as we speak(back over there whenever I can get there). The natural reproduction is not that great yet, and that is what the DNR/clubs are trying to get going. I have all of the stocking reports from the past years, and it is great to see they are making a go of it!!! Once the natural reproduction takes over, we will really see an increase in the catchable population over there. They are really a beautiful fish, just too bad I'm not able to get on them a little better yet. I will though!!!! A chat would be great, and I'd be willing to help in any way.
