Location: Lake Tomahawk, WI | Troy Bilbrey and Dalton Keep's 3 fish from day 1 held up for the win as the 2 anglers took home the big trophies and over $18,000. 78 fish total were caught this weekend by tournament anglers, solidifying Eagle River as one of the top destination for muskie tournaments. Cold, wet, cloudy conditions prevailed for most of the weekend, and there were a lot of fish taken trolling. Lures and speeds seemed to vary, with burning bucktails and slow rolling crankbaits and everything in between seeming to put fish in the net. Quite a few were caught casting too, with soft plastics and bucktails working well but also some fish taken on topwater. Congratulations to all who caught fish this weekend, next stop is Cass Lake in August.

Location: Lino Lakes, MN | We had a great time in Eagle River and met a lot of awesome people. We struggled for most of the week while it seemed like everyone else was putting fish in the boat, but we kept grinding and finally managed to put something together on Sunday to put a legal and a shorty in the boat. Can't wait to get up to Cass for the first time...been meaning to get up there for years and hear its an awesome fishery, so it should be fun. Congrats to everyone that put fish on the board! |
