Ok, I know some of you biology types will know the answer to this one....

It occurs to me that the local water temps are at least 10* cooler now than they were at this time last year. They've been cooler all summer, and it seems to me the fish are more active this summer. Am I correct in assuming that the fall bite will start earlier and last longer, providing the water temps maintain this pattern of "lower than usual" as we end the summer?
