Posts: 925 | Hi Guys, I've looked on Craig's List and am finding nothing that I am looking for. My buddy has a place on Leech Lake. He wants to get a big aluminum deep V that he can run from his cabin into the Walker Marina. He is looking for something that can transport lumber, supplies, etc. from Walker to his cabin. I can picture exactly what he is looking for in my head. I've been transported in boats like this from mainland out to islands on LOTW, etc. Any idea of where I could be looking to find something like this? Thanks - Midge

Posts: 258 Location: Mayville, WI | How much do you want to spend? The first one that pops into mind is a Lund Alaskan - here's one I found on a quick CL search for MN: https://duluth.craigslist.org/boa/6053593825.html Of course you could get a Hewescraft or something similar like they run in Alaska too (more $$$ though). Alumacraft and crestliner both make their own version of resort boats as well.

Posts: 925 | I should've mentioned that it would have a hard top on it. I am finding all kinds of stuff way out west in Washington and Oregon. Not cheap either!

![]() Posts: 140 Location: Scandia MN | I've seen some dandy pontoon work barges - Many of which have impressive load capacities - You might try the GSA auction site - Government surplus stuff that can be reasonably priced from time to time - - - -

Posts: 925 | Thanks for the offer Don. But he is looking to purchase something to use for years to come. I found some stuff online, but it seems that the style he is looking for are mostly out west and used in the ocean. I think I've got someone in Kenora that may be able to help me look for something up there. thanks guys
