So here's my question. I've used saltist 20 to pull 10 blades. Resistacne wasn't bad. I'm looking at getting a Lexa in the 6 or 7 gear. Can anybody compare these 2 reels for pulling 10 blades to a saltist. I'm not going to throw only 10 blades with it. I'm planning on doing some experimenting with it and lookin at replaceing the saltist. I'M NOT INTERESTED IN ANY OF THE TRANX REELS.
Thanks
Dave

I've used the older version of the Lexa 400... I also have a saltist. I would honestly stick with the saltist. The Lexa I had wore out in less than a month of use with nothing bigger than jr. cowgirls and topwater baits like a cannon ball jr. and smaller.

I own 4 lexa 300's. All higher gear ratios for cranks, topwater, jerks and smaller bucks. No problems for 3+ years. Like the HD better than the regular ones. Like the magnets.

Appreciate the info. I had 3 of the 5 gear power leas and thought they were great. Not worried bout durability. Wondering about the resistance comparison between the 6 or 7 gear Lexa 400 and a saltist

The 6:1 will feel most like the Saltist, I like this reel a lot for tens. The 7:1 will feel a little under powered but it's fast.
