| I have been fishing with power pro since It came out and I like it. How is the new Maxcuatro. I know it is a thinner diameter. Any feedback on how it wears, knot strength, ect... |

Location: North St. Paul, MN | Used it all summer and loved it. Not one backlash, held its color and "slickness." Never had a knot fail on any line and this was no different. Did bend out some hooks shore fishing that I was thinking I was going to lose the bait. Nope, line held and all I had to do was replace the hook. So, I'd say it was tough. |

Location: North St. Paul, MN | I used it through November...didn't get out in December this year. I didn't notice it being an issue with water retention, but it was a rather warm fall, so maybe I didn't notice because it didn't feel like my hands were about to fall off. |

Location: Buffalo, NY | I spooled up my Jigging Reel with it this year, then my casting reel. I had been casting with Super Slick and kept getting break offs during a cast. Never had any issues with the Max Cuatro. It does have a tendency to dig into itself on the spool though, because of the profile/flat diameter.
All of the very experienced/ very good Musky guys in my area are using or switching to Cortland Masterbraid. I Jigged the river with 100lb MaxCuatro along with a friend with 80lb Masterbraid, I broke off lures on snags 4 times to his 1. His was on a Bridge.
I like MaxCuatro, it was certainly sufficient for me, and I like how it cinched up for knots and the like, but MasterBraid is the strongest i've ever seen. |
