Man what a couple of days I had. I got my clients on 7 agressive fish to hit in their 2 day trip and all we got to show for is a low 30 incher. Yesterday during 1 .5 hours of casting we had 4 fish under 40 eat our baits. A client blew 2 and landed 1 little guy and I even blew one when the fish hit my pacemaker taking off like a rocket perfectly vertical and all out of the water. I did see the bait in it's mouth but I waited untill the fish landed and took my bait under water to set the hook. I almost ate that bait LOL may I assume I shoulda set it while the fish was airborn? This morking the other guy fishing with a broken finger gets a high 40s fish nail his spinnerbait but he never got a hookset in her and all we saw was a fat fish squirming on the surface like they always do when you set your hooks into them. Barely an hour after that as we were trolling some fish hit a spinnerbait and the reel was smoking, the other guy gets the rod and holds it up as the fish is still running with major headshakes and then nothing. Even before the guy could start reeling her in she was gone, with my experience I know that fish was much bigger then the one we just saw. Ok so we missed a few more :( we'll get the next one. Well after lunch we get a hit on a believer with a lot of line peeling as well as major headsahkes but almost the same thing as in the morning the fish was gone before he could start reeling her in. After inspecting the new believer as an hour before the hit and it had some major teeth marks in the hard plastic body. So what could of been a 3 big or super big fish day we ended with not only zip but next to no fight from any and all of them. We should of landed some 5 to 6 fish out of the 7 if I was fishing with luckyer clients. I guess we will get them on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
