| I find myself doing more and more shore/wader fishing for big pike, and haven't found a decent/safe way to take a picture of the fish besides in the net (Its a little cumbersome, but I can stick the beckman down the back of my waders). I've seen pictures of the pike lying in wet grass, how safe is that?
Thanks,

Location: Montgomery,Illinois | I live right by the fox river in montgomery illinois and there is not many big pike there. The river is only like 1-4ft everywhere. Anyways I have fished it quite a bit for musky and like a week ago I caught 38in pike while musky fishing. I was by my self and wanted a pic. I put the fish in real shallow water then got everything ready then I set the fish on the grass and snapped a quick pic. To get more pics as i was releasing the fish I snapped a few quick photos. The fish swam away quickly and was fine. I dont think it affected it but if you take the pics while yo release it you can get some neat photos.

| My camera has a timer on it, so I can just set the camera up when I get there, set the focus and everything for a specific spot. Then when I get a fish, hit the timer button, pull the fish out of the water, say cheese, and put the fish back in the water. |
