I have a 899 Humminbird and looking to use the GPS function for waypoints and depth contours on the ice. Anybody here every attempted this?

I'm thinking a 12V battery with a power cable and 3 amp fuse would do the trick.

Yep, just need a power cable. I just wired a 12 volt plug to a power cable and use it in my truck and UTV. Didn't fuse it as the plugs are fused on the vehicle side.
