Hey guys, I fish mainly rivers here in little ole west virginia and I was wondering what would be some key holding areas for fall time musky in rivers. Thanks and raze shoot me an email and tell me about your catches so far this year.

Shawn,
Treat 'em like trout. Look for the fish to hold on ANY current break.
I love to fish the Gauley in the fall and any stump, log or rock deflecting the current can hold fish. Give me a holler about Sept. and we'll try our luck on any stream you pick. I know that the ELK around Frametown is a good section and the pools around Jodie on the Gauley hold some good fish. Haven't fished the Mud or Poca but plan on fishing them when I get back from LOTW (if I come back). The area around Kanawha Falls near Gauley Bridge is big water and is noted for big fish.(for a river)
