Location: mount prospect illinois | I finally got a chance to be on the water after only getting out for 3 hours since April. The plan was to meet my bro around 8 am. When i get there, i see him being towed back to the launch by another friend of ours!!!!! The engine went thump and quit completely when he was getting up on plane. Now the fly wheel will not turn at all!! The starter enganges though so i think i have major problems with the engine itself. Merc is doing a good job of making me think about maybe going with another brand. My boat is a 2001. My first engine was replaced due to a defective rocker arm. This (second one)is only one year old with very low hours and now its taking a dump!!! I should hold judgement until i find out what is really wrong but man am i frustrated!!! The few chances i have to get out this year and these things happen! |
