I'm heading to Polk/Barron Counties for a long weekend trip. I am wondering if anyone has current temps on Bone, Deer, Wapo, etc.? I don't get out but once or twice a year and could use any tips I can get. Feel free to PM me. Thanks!

I was fishing on Rice Lake in Barron county the last two weeks of Sept until Oct. 2nd. Water temp was 61 when I left. Kdawg

Looked at south landing on Bone yesterday afternoon and it was so green I never launched. That being the case I can not report water temps but can assure you this cold front should drop them in a hurry. Good Luck -

I had 64 on Apple yesterday and didn't move a fish in 5 hours. Had meat dragging and everything. Plus there was duckweed all over the lake, and I also heard Wapo was extremely green and nasty. Had a really good bite a week ago on Apple but it was not happening yesterday.

I'd just like to thank those that PM'd me and replied here. We hit a few lakes, including Deer (water temp about 63*) and it was as green as I've ever seen it. Also went to the Apple which had temps about 60*. Ended up getting 5 total for the trip, with most action around the moon phases. Most fish were on artificials and mostly jerk/glide baits, almost nothing on blades.
