I have also gotten out mighty earily in the am for the great morning cast without any success. About 11 am we get boared and tired and start trolling and have picked up 6 fish between 35 and 46 1/2 on 4 day trips with at least one fish each time. All fish with high sun, lures running fast and high. I think they are doing a little sun bathing and an opportunity presents itself.

Thats when I would start to try new spots. See what you can find on the lake and maybe it'll pay off for you in the future. Maybe there is a rock hump somewhere that not many know about or something along that nature.

Just a thought
