Posts: 200 Location: Twin Cities | This topic gets brought up every year, most people recommend kast steelhead gloves. I personally like the $20 waterproof cabelas gloves until it gets really cold. Searching should find the previous posts

Posts: 705 Location: Alex or Alek? | I go with your typical small knit gloves, cover them with your typical medical gloves to keep the water out and the heat in. Then I bring 2-4 of your typical "winter" work/mechanics gloves to change through out the day when they get wet. Not sure who it was but i got the idea from someone on here. It works great!

Posts: 2376 Location: Chisholm, MN | I have the newer clam gloves that are waterproof, but I haven't tried them for casting yet. Mostly bought them for ice fishing. Like MOJO says, I just bring a ton of random gloves and change them out when they get wet. The fingerless wool ones with mitten flaps are my favorite. A lot of times I have something warmer on my left hand, then something smaller that helps free up my casting thumb on the right.

Location: Contrarian Island | I bring ~10 pairs of gloves along in the fall... from the fingerless wool ones to the Kast Steelhead gloves... best bet is to carry lots of them...so far the Kast gloves have been waterproof..they aren't that warm by themselves so I put a thin glove liner on under them....

Posts: 92 | Another vote for the Kast gloves. Definitely waterproof but in below freezing temps can be a bit chilly. Fit the hands great.

Location: Grand Rapids, MI | Putting hand warmers on your wrists will keep hands warm all day unless it's windy. The Kast gloves are worth every penny when it's really windy/cold.

Searching should find the previous posts And there is new stuff coming out all the time, that you certainly won't hear anything about by searching the archives. I understand the search feature..... Good stuff. I am also a proponent of bringing a few pair and changing as they get wet, same as ice fishing. I don't think I'd enjoy wearing my clam/ice armour gloves casting though...

Posts: 7088 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | I second BNelson on bringing MULTIPLE pairs of gloves. Lots of great gloves out there but almost all will eventually soak through...have another pair or pairs for when that happens.

Posts: 1023 | I use thin cotton gloves with surgical gloves on top and change as needed. It works great and it's so cheap.

Location: MN | I own a pair of Kasts. They are nice. Last year when I got to Mille Lacs in late November I realized I forgot them. I went to the gas station and picked up 3 pair of the cheap rubber coated cold weather gloves. They work great. Air temp was about 30 degrees all weekend and water temp was close to that. Something similar to this. https://www.zoro.com/memphis-glove-cut-gloves-2xl-blk-nylonacrylic-p...

Posts: 992 | I like gore-tex snowboard pipe gloves...I get the most dexterity while casting and they get the job done. They will end up wet though but I bring latex gloves and wear those underneath any gloves I wear to keep my hands dry.
