| I am essentially positive I have a small hole in my hull along the mid portion of the keel. I am planning to take it to the dealer to see about repair, but would like to know as much as possible before talking to them. asuming I am correct I asume they can weld a piece over it and grind it. Are there any other options? What is the going rate for that or any other options? I live in central wisconsin. thx for any thoughts |

| Just a guess is that the going rate is $85 to $95 dollars and hour. Also guessing this is not something that can be done while the boat is on the trailer |

Location: Mt. Zion, IL | Gflex epoxy for aluminum boats works really well on riveted boats. Be sure to buy the acid etching kit as well. I sealed along the entire keel on my boat and it took about 2 hours. |

Location: Minnesota | What brand of boat is it ?
Is it a welded hull or rivets?
How old is it i had a crestliner and the transom gussets welds startes cracking they ground the old weld off replaced it with new welds . |

Location: Mt. Zion, IL | Yes I did it myself. The epoxy is made by west systems. Buy extra syringes as you will need about 4-5 to do most of the keel. You will also need a heat gun or torch. Heat gun worked really well for me. It was not hard work, but took a fair amount of time. I did one side at a time for the full length of the keel. |
