Agreed. Huge win. And with the turnout as low as it was I'm pretty sure muskie anglers helped put Cal over the top. Thanks everyone who could vote there.

Huge kudos to the local folks from the fishing clubs and other organizations who really put in the work on the ground to help make this happen. This is potentially a massive win for the local fishery as it will send a message to the capital that the musky community will not take things lying down and can get results. Great work.

Excellent news and a big thanks to everyone who got out and voted or at least promoted the vote! I know lots of local MI members were out promoting as well, hats off to all who contributed!

Thank you to all in that district who got out to vote yesterday. You were able to be the voice for the rest of us who enjoy the fishery.

Thank you for all that supported our efforts in this campaign. While it's not over until November, this district hasn't gone Democrat anytime in recent memory.

This was a huge risk for us to finally publicly get behind a candidate. If we lost I can only imagine what Tom would have done to spite us. Unfortunately after this past sessions legislation he sponsored he left us little choice but to take it to the polls.

Remember, there were several people in the House and Senate, both Rep and Dem that need our support as well. Sen Hoffman (D), Rudd (R), Schmidt (D), and House member Nash (R) all still need our help to get reelected. I have stroked checks and walked in parades and done other misc tasks this summer so far. If you are happy with the outcome of this past legislative session I would suggest you do something for these people as well. We need to show them our support so we have that support again next year.

Thanks again and Cast On!

Great news. Great news for muskies in our state. Might I suggest we consider Tony Cornish as someone who needs to go from legislature. He has blocked muskies being put in Waterville MN lakes for long time. He is a real enemy of muskie fishing.

This fellow, whom I do not know and have no issues with personally, gets up in our grill now and again because he, like a few others, has difficulty accepting the copyrighted publication thingy. Not much to be done for it but go through the process of trying to explain the protocol here without offending, which isn't easy when folks are out of sorts over having a negative, angry, uninformed, bashing, bad intentioned, offensive---whatever---post removed or sent to the recycle bin. I get called some interesting names...'one of a kind' is my recent favorite. We've been doing this for 15 years for really good reasons, so yelling at us is not going to work. it's truly nothing personal.

Been some of that lately almost like Winternet, hope the water cools down soon.

Treats, you guys rock, my friend. Without your combined hard work and the response from the Muskie angling community, I believe the MN Muskie program would have suffered a severe blow.

Ditto. Its not over, probably never will be over. We need to keep on and keep the support coming. If I have to spend 3-500$ supporting these candidates its going to cost me a couple times on the water. Thats money well spent IMO. I spend a couple weekends a month walking in parades for these candidates, and it keeps me off the water. Thats time well spent IMO. Its an investment in the future
