I took the IPilot off the Terrova and installed an I pilot link when I took off the old there was the plug to plug in the unit color coded yellow there was also the sonar cable I disconnected that and did not replace it. Ran the cable that came with the link and connected it to Helix with another part called Ethernet Dongle. Does this take the place of the sonar cable or do I need to reconnect that and buy another cable to connect to Helix?
When I turn the Helix on it says transducer not connected I called Reeds the said unit had to be in the water. The transducer is a US2 in the Terrova
I'm confused

Pretty sure the wire you hooked up is just for networking. I think you still need to connect a transducer.

If you plan on using the us2 transducer on the trolling motor you will need to re connect the wire.

Us2 cable is for the transducer to the unit and the Ethernet cable is separate, attached to the unit or to a 5 port Ethernet hub for networking multiple units and Link
