Posts: 1283 | I have not had a ton of time on the water this year but so far I finally got my first fish to eat in the 8. Not the biggest fish being just under 40" but she was one of the strongest fish I have ever battled with. Thing was as solid as a rock and just pulled and pulled. Although my best moment was seeing the biggest fish of my life surface right next to the boat. We had just made a pass on a mid lake rock pile that tops out at about 2 ft with steep drop offs surrounded by 25ft of water. At the end of the second pass she was just there plain as day looking right at us. Never saw a follow and she wanted nothing to do with us when we did see her, but by god she was a sight to see. Easy mid 50s and very very very heavy. You just dont see that in WI on a inland lake everyday. I will never forget that fish.

Posts: 386 | This has been my best year, new PB two times for my self. My first multiple fish day. Just last night I put a friend on his first fish, a cool spotted 36". Unfortunately we didn't get a pic with him with the fish. He wasn't confident in doing a grip and lip so I was holding it in the water and going to have him do a release pic. As we went for a hand off the little guy decided it was definitely green and was off like a rocket. Got water in both of our faces and all we could do was laugh.

Posts: 1209 | I've been taking it easy this year but so far I am 0 for 2 days on Minnesotas contested pelican lake however I did boat flip a 6.5# walleye this last weekend out there. Got her of the weeds on a regular size "baitfish" colored bulldog. Baitfish is what we are supposed to call walleye pattern right? Haha cannibal.

Posts: 398 Location: WI | Being the the netman for my son. He decided to accept the invite to join the guys & me on LOTW and got his 1st fish casting, (he's gotten a couple on suckers). He's already decided he's going again next year to settle the score with a noncommittal 45".

Posts: 337 Location: Watersmeet, Michigan | Without a doubt, it was last Tuesday. Never had so much as a follow, but, I couldn't have been happier if I'd landed a 50" I fell and injured my back in July, and it was my first time chasing muskies in more than a month. Just being there is priceless. Fr. K

Posts: 1241 Location: Walker, MN | So far for me, it's a tie between putting an awesome client on a healthy fish on his tenth muskie cast ever, and finally catching a fish (a 50"er) with "leech lake strain" after 6 or 7 attempts together (so over due!). All with my favorite 10-12 weeks of the year left to fish! Cheers and hook-sets!

Just being there is priceless. Fr. K ^^ I understand this fully! I broke my foot falling from a roof and missed all last year with surgery, and rehab. Going for a week up north the end of September with my Dad and Brother, can't wait. Then I am blessed to go in October with my son for a long weekend. Fish, tho I want them badly, will certainly be just a bonus! Being on the water with them with be a gift!
