Posts: 7112 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | It's the day (or days) before you leave to go fishing. Anyone want to come to my office and work for me for the next 10 hours over today and tomorrow?

Posts: 8863 | "Oh, that's right. You're out next week! #*#*. Okay well, we have a meeting with _______ next week, so we had better get going on this project before you leave. When are you back?" *phone rings* "Hey, I just saw on my calendar that you're going to be gone next week. I've got this project that we need to get done by our next client meeting..." etc etc etc... This is why I now take off the entire day before I leave for a trip. There is NOTHING worse than running back and forth from the house to the truck loading your gear and food two hours after you wanted to be on the road. Wait, yes there is. That would be getting to the lodge about the time the sun goes down, skipping dinner, and staying up until 2:00 am getting all your crap unloaded and rigged up for the next morning.

Posts: 1168 | It's about perspective. Finding your mother bleeding out of her ears and getting her to an ER for treatment...followed by the waiting around while she was having brain surgery to fix an aneurysm and not knowing if she'd survive....THAT was a long day. Waiting around to go fishing is a breeze.

| While you all are enjoying yourselves and reeling in fiddys, ill be living the dream of drilling/setting 300' of 8x8's and oak privacy fencing in 90 degree heat. Typing this made me taste a little puke. Good luck. | |||
