| Making first trip to each in the next couple weeks. Fishing couple days on Crow before heading to Caviar and Dogpaw for about 8 days. Any reports, input, advice, stories for those that have fished these. Thanks! |

Learn the layout of the reefs, and GPS them during the day. Then go trolling with Jakes and Grandmas at night.
We caught 5 muskies in only about 5 or 6 hours of fishing there a couple years back. (We were just stopping in at Muskie Bay Resort on our way back from LOTW). We only had 9 inch grandmas and 10 inch Jakes.
I would personally recommend the 14 inch Jakes, and 13 inch Grandmas / Believers though. Crow seems to have a really good trolling bite, and the people we talked to seemed to like crankbaits in the 14 inch (and larger) sizes.
Unfortunately, the biggest stuff we had at the time was the 9 and 10 inch stuff.

Never fished Caviar or Dogpaw, but I know that Caviar is also a Trout water, so I think it has some giant muskies in it as well

I should also mention that I know a guy who likes to troll Slammers on Crow as well. He does most (if not all) of his trolling after dark though. There's a really good night trolling bite there. |

Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | Been awhile, but I have fished dog paw. Big blades by the mid lake reefs, and big rubber to work some of the deeper cabbage . Really cool lake with nice fish in it |

Location: New Hope MN | Go slow, there are reefs coming up out of nowhere. Lots of big names (Bucher, Mehsikomer) have lost their lower unit on that chain of lakes. Also make sure to figure out your parking well in advance. Your resort should be able to help you out.
The landing also really sucks. We drug the trailer off rocks. It's super shallow and then you fall off a rock ledge. Just the way it is. |
