hello guys , i need to change the surge actuator on my newtome boat trailer and need to know if the ufp model that is on now is better than the attwood because i am having problems finding one around here in quebec but atwood is easyer to get but is not same design ! anyone got experience with both models ?

I would look to see if all the pins on the atwood line up correctly with the ufp. Assuming you're changing out the entire tongue assembly as obviously just the actuator itself will be different brand to brand.

I have the ufp on my trailer and a friend just got one with the attwood actuator. In my opinion the ufp seems like a better system. The attwood sits kind of on top of the frame and pivots. Whereas the ufp is inside the frame and slides straight back.

i ordered a UFP inner member this morning,probably will cost as much as the prices i got around here but i will get it sooner i hope !
