Posts: 815 Location: Waukee, IA | I have a match on Saturday and I think we'll be too warm in Iowa. How are surface temps in the Twin cities? It's really my only backup plan

Posts: 114 | The fish are educated out there. I guarantee every fish in that lake has been caught multiple times. It's a 1000 acre lake that has 20 musky boats on it at all times.

Posts: 72 | agreed, they see a ton of baits...it's rare to be out there with less than a dozen muskie boats.

Posts: 815 Location: Waukee, IA | It's been ridiculously hot here, I might swing by clear lake just to see. Hopefully it is cool enough to fish, but this sun has been a bugger the last couple weeks

Posts: 815 Location: Waukee, IA | I didn't make it to Minneapolis, but north Iowa was 78? Saturday evening. Pretty much ends my season after it gets hot again Wednesday. Wish I wasn't too broke this summer for a trip North, darn wedding.

It's definitely an abusive relationship between BE and me. Moved a few but no takers. I used to bounce between there and white bear but this year I'm trying to fish one of the other to learn it better. Both lakes have been terrible to me but I'm within 15 min of each so I keep going back... I need to explore forest or the river. WBL temps were 70-72 yesterday.

Posts: 1039 Location: North St. Paul, MN | Tried Owasso in the morning to see if I couldn't catch a few northerns for the frying pan and pee off a musky into biting. Failed at both. Northerns were WAY too small to even consider keeping and the muskies were non-existent. Fun though...had the lake to myself. 75-76 temps

Posts: 98 | Has Owasso been ok for any species since the die off a few years back? I figured most fish in there right now would be small, but I could be wrong.

Fun though...had the lake to myself. 75-76 temps Yeah, the DNR did a survey the spring before the winter kill and Owasso was loaded with quality Musky, think they caught 40+ fish with fish as big as 47 and a good average. They surveyed the spring after the winter kill and they couldn't catch a single musky

crazy that WBL was only 70-72 the other morning. Eagle was about 80 in the north bay and 77-78 in the main lake last night.
