| Just curious what other's opinions are about the nets with flat bottoms (such as Frabill Power Catch or Big Kahuna) vs the tear drops? Based on EXPERIENCE do you prefer the flat bottom nets or the tear drop and why? Again, expereince with both is the key since I've never seen or used a flatbottom but looking at getting a new net. Obviously I'm talking about Musky nets. Thanks in advance. |

| I like Rangers Flat bottom net. Seems to be a bit more resistance to having the fish spin. I have a very large Ranger Basket type net, which is what I believe you are referring to by flat bottom type net (never heard that term before. |

Location: Michigan U.P. | I use and love the Ranger 9877fb, I totally agree with Npike about when the fish roll they don't seem to get as caught up in the net. Ranger also has the octagonal handle which makes it quick and easy to lock in place and you can't beat the price. |

| Flat bottom is the only way to go. It creates a pen for the fish to lay in. |

Location: Yahara River Chain | I never heard the term teardrop as refereed to nets. Its coned shaped. teardrop would imply that its larger on the bottom than the opening. I have a Beckman finsaver which has the "flat bottom".. |
