Location: Watertown, MN | Well the ol rude finally failed, atleast got a full trip out of it. But time for repower the 620. So looking for some feedback on which motor to go with, kinda looking suziki, and yammy sho, would like not have to haul the gallons of oil around on trips.

Location: Kodiak, AK | Suzuki or Yamaha, even a grey Yamaha. I blew an OX66 and putting the 225 Sport on mine was the best thing I ever did. Even a non-SHO is a great motor. I'm not an Evinrude fan, but you might think about it for the sake of controls and guagues, depending on which one you pulled off. Controls are an oft-overlooked expense in repowering. |

Location: Duluth, MN | I just bought and repowered a 1999 620 last year. I went with the Yami F200 NON-SHO. Read too many posts about some SHO issues so i stayed away from it. Maybe they have been worked out since.

Location: Minnesota | Given the choice between the two. I would go with Yamaha if you were to have problems on a fishing trip you will have a better chance of getting it fixed. There are more dealer's across the country and Canada |

Location: Tinley Park, IL | If you are going with a SHO it will have to be a 250 since they don't make a 25" model in anything other than the 250. I went with a F175 on my X-190 and have been very pleased so far. I don't think I would have gotten the SHO even if it were available. Too many bass guys are reporting issues with their SHOs. |
