| I had a guide ring fall out of one of my rods. Any tips on how to fix the issue (already starting to fray line)? I contacted the manufacturer and they don't have any replacement rings. |

| pretty sure the entire guide needs to be changed

Location: oswego, il | Is the ring intact? I have had a few pop out. Popped it back in and put JB weld around the outside filling the tiny crevice between the ring and guide. None of them have ever come out again. |

Location: US | Replacing the entire guide is fairly easy. Lots of you tube videos. I've done it twice. The first time was definitely a learning experience, but turned out pretty good. The only way i could tell it was replaced was the finish I used over the thread wrap was kind of cloudy. I think this is because i used a 1 part finish. I would recommend a 2 part epoxy. I used that the second time i had to replace one and it looks great.

| Todd, it is just the guide ring that is gone. I have no idea what happened to it. The only thing I can think is that it split and fell out of the guide. |

| I changed a guide on the fly with Samantha's nail polish and braid, and it held up for an entire week in Canada. Doing it the right way can't be that difficult! |

| It's easy to do. Buy a new guide and replace it with proper rod epoxy.
Or pay someone to do it.
The guide, rod thread and epoxy will be about 20$ |

| You will definitely need a new guide put on the rod. A guide frame without the guide ring in it will cause line failure for sure. Check your area for a local custom builder or like others have said, it's not too tough to do yourself. If you get into wrapping your own rods it's a great hobby, but will definitely bite into your bank account as it's almost as addictive as Muskie fishing.... |

| where you located? I do guide replacements for $6 - $15 each depending on the type of guide it is (Different materials). I am located in Chanhassen, MN.
