Location: Minneconia | Is this a decent musky area? Looking to make the trip out from further east this summer for a day for something new. Any tips or general advice on this area would be greatly appreciated, PM if you don't want to post. Thanks! |

Location: MN | When you say make the trip from further east, are you referring to coming from the east end of Sabaskong? It's a great area, lots of stuff to fish. |

Location: Minnetonka MN | There are muskies everywhere in this area. There is every type of weed, cabbage, rocks, points, islands, humps that will keep you busy for many days, not just one. One great advantage of fishing in this area is no matter what is happening with the wind direction or speed, you can always find a channel or a bay to fish. Study your maps ahead of time and target your favorite type of structure. Good electronics are a MUST in this area, depending on the water level this year, you need to be REALLY careful around the hidden rock piles. The water is generally a chocolate brown color, so you won't see the rocks before your prop does. Good luck! |

Location: Minneconia | Yes we will be traveling from Split Rock Lodge. Just like exploring new area outside of the usual 8 miles out. |

| I have stayed many times at Split Rock. Great location. Can go back towards Nestor Falls, over to Stony Portage, or out west to more open areas of Sabaskong. I have stayed at many locations in Sabaskong, probably like that location the best. |
