Posts: 32958 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I will be exploring the Muskie waters of Oneida County with SVL and Theeeeeeeeedz trying to put a few in the boat. Probably will hit dark water some in the morning, and Pelican every evening .Anyone else in the Rhinelander area fishing this weekend? If so, the grill will be putting out some good eats, and the beer is free. Where are you headed this weekend?

Posts: 20281 Location: oswego, il | My grandmother passed away this morning and we are having the wake and funeral this weekend. We are still going to the flambeau flowage after that and we are taking my grandfather with us. The trip will be a few days shorter. Will be good for hin to get away and we are going to book a trip in august now and take him with again. Hope to catch a few muskies in my grandmother's memory.

Posts: 2754 Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | Todd: Our prayers and condolence's to you and your family from the Warner's and all the folks at Zalt. I'm headed for Canada late tommorrow afternoon( a couple of the guys have to work tommorow) Overnight in Duluth & then drive the rest early Sat morning. 7 days up in Kenora/Nestor Falls area. Staying at Dogtooth Resort. Trophy walleye's on Dogtooth Saturday afternoon-evening. But will be thrashing the water on Crow Lake on Sunday (match fishing against Ranger & his daughter). Wahoooo! Canadian Shield muskies- FISH ON!!! ;-) Only bummer is Ranger won't be there to net them for me ;-( He's a great net man, so far he's netted 3 ( 44", 41" & 39.5") for me with no misses. Posts: 1023 Location: Lafayette, IN | Todd, Your loss is a matter of prayer at our house. I'm so sorry to hear of it and will especially be thinking of your Grandpa in the weeks to come. As for us, we are heading to the Webster area on Sat to "pre-fish" (sounds professional doesn't it?) for Tuesday's match against the Soggy Bottom Boys. Hopefully, my son and I will have a little better luck than most of you. Sounds like the weather should be decent. Good luck to all!

| Since it has rained every weekend for the past 7-8 weeks, I'll probably go out, set up a lawn chair, and watch Spongette labor in the yard; I'll teach her how to start the mower, and point out various safety features of lawn care tools, then kick back w/ a 6 pak of Coke Colas and offer words of encouragement as she labors in the hot southern sun. Life can be great at times eh? | |||

Posts: 3242 Location: Racine, Wi | Sorry to hear of your loss Todd. I wish you and your family the best. I unfortunately live in the south of Wisconsin, so my choices are limited. I will be hittin Delevan Lake on Sunday. I know there are muskies, and I don't think that they get a lot of pressure from muskie fisherman. Never fished it before, so my dad and I will be exploring the unknown. ( to us at least.) I will be hitting Pewaukee on Saturday in the morning, then I'm taking a youngster and his "big brother" out perching on Lake Michigan in the afternoon. I could use some bait for the quick strike rigs. Nothing better than a 15" perch. Heh Heh Heh. Good luck all. Joel

| Esox Maniac Good luck on Dogtooth. I was up the last week in May and between my partner and I we had 6 fish 28"-30" with to many to count in the 23"-26" range. It is one hell of a lake for trophy walleyes. Wish I was going back now, but will have to wait until next May. Jason Malone | |||

Posts: 1996 Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | This will be the first Saturday of the season I can't spend the whole day on the water---but I will find the time for a eight hour morning jaunt to Pelican. Sunday I will be scouting out some new water around Rhinelander, have to try to stay competitive in the Rhinelander Musky League. If I work up a thirst exploring, I may have to crash the party at Worrall's Hideout.
