Last year after many meetings, discussions, and great cooperation between the members of Northwoods Muskies Inc. and the DNR fisheries managers and biologists a citizens proposal was entered to raise the size limit for muskies to 50" on Trout Lake and North and South Twin Lakes in Vilas County, Wisconsin. This coming Monday, April 11th those proposals will appear as advisory questions #41 and #44 on the Conservation Congress Spring Hearings ballot. We need your support to move this to the next level. If these advisory questions pass, they should appear next year as a rule change question. Please come out and vote in favor of #41 and 44. While we are seeking statewide support we especially need good numbers in the northern counties. Asking for your help please!

As Pete has stated, we need as much support as we can get to get this passed. Come to the Spring Hearings at your local hearings location and vote yes on advisory questions 41 and 44. The hearings start at 7:00 pm. If you choose to stay to listen and vote on all the various questions the meeting usually takes about 2 hours. If you are unable to stay or don’t have interest in other topics you may come to the hearing location, obtain a ballot, vote on the questions you may be interested in and leave.

Happy to report that the two resolutions for Trout and the Twins passed the statewide vote. Both Vilas and Oneida counties voted in favor by a pretty decent margin so that looks good for the resolutions moving to the next step.
