It seems like the reversal will have the effect of causing the DNR to shut down the walleye season earlier in the year due to hooking mortality. I guess it's not for me to say whether a longer catch-and-release, artificial-only season is better than a shorter catch-and-release, livebait-allowed season.

So yet again business interests want mess with the DNR's management plan. Then they will complain the DNR mismanaged it.
Either leave them alone to do their jobs and give it enough time to work, or not work whichever may be. Or stop ripping them for screwing everything up. Cannot have it both ways
