| I normally fish the pike lake chain, I'm from Madison and i take 51 N. to 70 then head West. I plan on going to Park Falls next week what is the best route there from Madison.

| Fastest is 39/51 north to 8 to 13 or 51 to 70, I think. About the same. if you take Hwy 8, you get to stop and fuel up in Rhinelander. Good for the local economy! |

8 is a good route, though. Just don''t backtrack to Rhinelander if you are not in need of fuel.
Of course, you could always stop and fish Boom, or Pelican, or two Sisters, or the Moen''s chain....and then head over to Park Falls! Or go just a bit further out of your way and have a cup of coffee, I am on 8 east 6 miles out of the city. Save you a buck on the coffee, a good deal! |
