Was out with clients Jerry and Jim yesterday and we moved 5 fish overall and boated one short fish. Tons of bonus pike as well. Fish seemed to be in cabbage areas 4-6' of water and were responding to slow moving jerkbaits. (Crappie Jerko to be exact)

It was Jim's first Musky outing and he did get his first but was shaking 20 min. into the game when a Super tanker 50+ followed his Stomper all the way to the boat. Man we wanted that fish!!!

I got a couple days of muskie fishing in on the lake over the last week. Put one small (upper 20's) fish in the boat, and had a few half-interested follows from some nice fish. All on glide and twitch baits. No action on hair at all. Seemed pretty slow.

Any other Cass Lake reports out there since opener?

Fished there 6/29 thru 7/4. What a madhouse on the fourth. Had three good follows on the 30th top water bait and bucktail. Saw one in excess of 45" chasing minnows in about 7 ft of water. The follows were in about 6'. Another guest caught a 46" and I saw an old guy land a 40plus while fishing for walleye with a shad rap. Also saw a 36" that was DOA and floating
