| Looking at going to a Tacoma Double-Cab with the V6. Anyone use one of these for towing?

| I'm looking at the same thing and am basically set on the 3.5 V6. Check out Tacoma World. Lots of towing threads for 2nd and 3rd gen. Good looking truck too. |

Location: E. Tenn | Got a '10 access cab, about to roll 240K, and still going strong. Nothing out of the ordinary mechanically.. I tow a 17' Tracker quite a bit. |

Location: Tinley Park, IL | '08 Double Cab w/V6 and towing package. Towing capacity is 6500 lb.
It has towed my deep V 17' boat perfectly over the years. In another couple months I could tell you how it tows a X-190.
Great truck without any problems. Lousy gas mileage. Under 15 MPG towing a boat. |

| I have an 08 Double cab. I don't tow a great deal as my boat stays at my cabin. I have towed a couple 20 foot fiberglass boats and it seemed fine, mileage was about 10 to 12 mpg, depending on a head wind.
I have been very happy with mine, I had to replace a wheel bearing at 110,000 miles. But otherwise pretty solid. I have been thinking about getting a new one. But then I think about how often I drive on the Angle road, and decide to keep the 08. |

| Thank you for the replies, everyone. Good to know that towing a moderately sized boat isn't a problem. No plans for a 620 so I should be okay. I did some test driving tonight and was really impressed. Hope to make a decision soon. |
