| i have a lt big dawg with the palming handle and do not like it , can it be changed to the old style handle ? and at what cost ? should i just sell it and find something else ? |

Location: Mt. Zion, IL | All the guides and front cork have to come off to change that the right way. If you don't like it, get rid of it. |

Location: mercer wi | Had same issue with mine. Just couldn't get comfortable with them. Looked into replacement. Couple rod builders sayed have to remove everything in front of seat. Couple said as long as i.d. of new seat is larger then o.d of blank, they could remove the rear cork n slide new seat on. Cost was anywhere from $70-$120 each. Cost of labor seat n cork work. I just sold my new 3 lts. My plan is to get a custom 9'+. |

It depends on the amount of taper the rod blank has. Lonnie at Thornes did a Tournament Legend Slingblade for a friend, removing the reel seat from the rear, you wouldn't know the difference. |
