Here is my situation. I have to go to Detroit for meetings in July, and again in October. I usually fly, but since it is only a 9 hour drive I am thinking of going early and bringing the boat.

My meetings are at the Centerpoint Marriot in Pontiac, about a 45 minute drive away without traffic to the nearest ramp. I would like to stay somewhere closer if possible. Can anyone recommend a decent place to stay where the boat will be reasonably safe?

I plan on locking everything up of course, but I don't want my Talon or trolling motor to go missing.

After my couple days of fishing I have a place to store the boat during my meetings.

On the Michigan side I stay at the baymont in Roseville. Right there at 94 and little Mack rd. It not far from the Clinton river cutoff ramp which is just south of metro beach. They have hookups for boats in the back. Lots of places to eat very close.

I second staying in Roseville. Another option in Roseville is the Microtel, they offer a fishermans special for about 60 bucks or something like that
