Muskie Fishing -> General Discussion -> Twin Cities, MN

Message Subject: Twin Cities, MN

Subject: Twin Cities, MN

I am a muskie novice needing some advice on good muskie waters around the twin cities. Where is the best bet to see and hopefully boat a few muskies this year.

Thanks for your guidance.

Sportsman's Connection has a book - Minnesota Muskie Fishing Guide - that details most of the musky lakes in the metro area, as well as the rest of the state. Also, go to http://www.muskiesinc.com/chapters/index.cfm - find the local Muskies Inc. chapter near you and attend a meeting.

Novice,

Go ahead and check out the seminar and talk with Shawn and Brad. They are good guys, and will help you alot. You might also look into the North Metro chapter depending on where you live in the Twin Cities. We have a league that will start June 10th on Bald Eagle. In June we are having our chapter picnic and won't have a general meeting again until September, but will have on the water meetings. We have the June Jam tournament on June 14th & 15th. We have another tournament the next weekend, and an outing to Vermillion the end of July. Please check out our web page for more information at www.northmetromuskies.com. All meetings for both the Twin Cities, and North Metro are open to the public, so check them both out. If you have more questions drop me an email at [email protected].

HH, what time is the seminar at Gander Mountain? I'd like to attend and will be signing up for MI as well. I've been meaning to sign up for a couple years. Thanks.
