Location: Smith Creek | Yeah, that LEM90HF is insanely nice to fish with. Cast for a few hours with the Dawg, then using the LEM is like fishing with a walleye rod. |

| The 9' Elite is only .2 oz lighter then the split grip Nasty so no real weight advantage there. The action and guides are different. In the shorter rods the weight savings is much more significant . |

| currently I have 6 rods and I think the most expensive was the TI at 140.00. Hard to believe im going to spend this much for a rod but I have a feeling I will be more than happy. Now just have to figure out what reel, thinking the Toro S. |

| Big Nasty is off the table due to its length. Went with an Legend Elite in 8'6" H and the Big Dawg since it was good for 2 items. |

| Yep I understand, But to me it seems like why Buy a Longer rod and pay more money and have the rod sticking out a foot or more behind your underarms? If you were to line up the Triggers next to each other on a flat surface Your 9 foot rod and your 8 foot rod are almost the same size... I could see the benefit during a figure 8 and casting ... If I were to get a longer rod it would be longer from the trigger to the tip not from the reel Backwards towards the Butt...But that's just me |

Dude , those are two of the best ever musky rods ever made. I have not had the privalege of fishing one those rods, to expensive. I'm almost embarrassed to say I use Premiers and Mojos. But seeing the post is about St. Croix rods,I'll just say to the average joe's, the Premier 8'06", 2-6 oz. rod is my most versatile. Kdawg |

| Ill admit Kdawg that ive only been chasing these slimy barsetards for 5 years and have always been against the expensive stuff. Swore up and down that that stuff isn't needed to catch a fish. As I stated above I had a few discounts for st. Croix and figured misewell try em out. My initial feeling is I wont be able to tell the difference between the performance of my Scheels rods and TI rods but we will see. |
