| I have this posted in a few locations, but no answers yet. My family and I were on the flowage the last week of August, on our yearly vacation. We stopped on a beach for some fun and a good walk, and my son sees a muskie lure in the sand. He picks it up, and up from the sand comes the rest. A very nice rod, very nice reel, and a very nice new lure, buried in the sand. Everything in pretty nice shape. Reel needs a cleaning, but will be fine. Probably only there for a week or so. If you know of anyone who lost a good rod, reel and lure out there recently, and can identify it properly, I will make arrangements for its return.
Quite the surprise, and I am sure someone is pretty sad about losing it. Would like to get it back to whoever lost it.

Location: Central IA | There is a NACL on a 8' rod with a heli dawg attached sitting just off the end of the last bouy at the merry go round reef on Vermilion. As it was whipping through the air my son asked what I was doing. Thought it was obvious that I was kissing $300 goodbye. Hope someone hooks it and gives it a good home.
