Subject: Minn Kota universal sonar question

Is it able to give temperature reading.I was disapointed not to have it show up.Is just a case of having to pay a different connection cable to get it.I have a Lowrance X 51 up front,it's able to have temperature.Anybody know?

Short answer: universal sonar does not have a temp guage, so no. I'm in the same situation (Autopilot with US on front and X51 graph), but you can't get temp on it without a separate temp probe which is not part of the universal sonar set up. I ran the probe for the console graph on my boat to get temp readings; easier hook up.

Gman is correct. All you get is sonar.

I just rely on the temp from my console unit.
