Anybody with a ranger tiller have a just encase box or other made to butt up against the side deck to give them more area to run the boat from the back? I run my trolling motor from the rear and have my kids casting from the large front deck. Standing on the Lakewood is getting old and so am I.

yes I have a 618T with a justencase small deck box, and my buddy has the same one. I put them on the opposite sides in the back of the boat and I run the terrova from the back works pretty good. I just gave Bob the measurements to match the deck and both boxes are the same size. We take turns fishing from the front of the boat it works out real nice. I need to get a cusion tho because I leave out the passenger seats they just take up too much room, people just sit on the boxes

What are the dimentions on the box he built you if you don't mind me asking. I'm looking at 28" long by 18" wide. Height of the existing side deck looks like 14 1/2". best I can tell. Looking to give myself a bigger standing space than the Lakewood box.
Thanks again.

Matt I think we are facebook Friends, just figure out the size you want and tell him what boat you have and he will build the perfect box. He takes in consideration the height of the feet and how much they sink into the carpet, my box is the perfect hight. I live near Joliet if you want to take a look

Im wondering why you dont fish from the back corner. I always fish from the back of my 618t and have no problems on the back corner. Otherwise just build a platform to make everything even. John Hoyer has a sweet platform on his 618t. Ive been meaning to build mine bjut fishing keeps getting in the way! good luck

Wonder if you could build something like the deck extension on an X-190 tiller?
