Posts: 1453 Location: Kronenwetter, WI | Well, I knew the day would come when got I tired of moving that 619 on a dual-axel by hand each time it comes out of the home garage---I angle it into the garage with the truck, but push it straight by hand to get it out (actually a leg press with my back on the wall). Anyhow it looks like I'll be pulling the boat out of that garage more frequently from now on (less time up north so more time fishing locally) and I'm either losing strength or will power at age 47 so I'd like to put that boat on a single axel trailer. I called Ranger and they confirmed that, yes, my boat CAN go onto a single axel trailer provided it is their heavy-duty model....so..... ...I'm wondering if anyone with a heavy duty single axel trailer (red) would be interested in considering some kind of trade for a dual axel trailer.....

Set of four. Get good ones. Harbor Freight, Northern Tool have them, or you can find really good ones online. You might also try to put down some VizQuine(sp) and backup to get it under the tires. Also, lower the tongue to take some weigh off the rear tires, and this makes it easier to turn by the tongue. Edited by Shep 6/24/2015 11:42 AM

I bought a set of purpose built dollies to put under the logs on my pontoon boat when in storage. It is 20ft long, 8.5ft wide and has a 90hp Merc 4stroke with a combined weight of almost 2600 pounds. I can move the boat by myself. Buddy uses his trailer to bring it to garage, set on dollies and then I push it up against wall (sideways) when done getting it ready for winter. In spring I pull it out away from wall and repeat the process. They were not cheap but should last forever. I was amazed at how easy it was to move. My old neighbor had something similar for an Austin Healy sports car he was restoring in his garage. Most of the time it was on dollies, pushed against front wall. When he worked on it, just pulled it away from wall by himself.

Location: varies | Met a guy a couple years ago that invented the "trailer valet". Looked like a pretty cool ,heavy duty geared tounge jack. May be what you need.

Posts: 206 | I bought a trailer valet last year to angle my boat up a slight incline and into an offset garage. After taking out the trim around my garage twice by backing it in with my vehicle I needed a better solution. Trailer Valet was the ticket, check it out. I'm 53 and have had 3 wrist surgeries and the rotator cuff is next... If I had started using the valet a couple years ago, it might have saved me at least one of my surgeries. Good luck!
