Subject: Darter design concept

Feeling creative so I’ve been playing around with some new design ideas, mixing a bit of my MDR Chopper design with an open mouth darter style head, I’m liking it. What do ya think?

Looks Cool to me. That's a lot of work to cut out. How do you plan to manufacture theses?

Thanks. First I’ll make some prototypes to confirm it works how I think it will. Then I’ll build a single cavity mold that I can hand mix and pour a urethane foam into. It’s a slow way of making baits, I can only make 3 or 4 an hour, but it’s a hobby for me and I prefer to make my baits 100% at home.

Wow this is absolutely beautiful. I would buy one in a heartbeat. How do you plan on transferring the CAD design to a mold?

Thanks, after I design the mold blocks and assemble them all together in CAD. The actual “transferring” is easy. I click on this button called “cavity” and voilà the cavity in the mold is done.

There are still more details I need to put in, but it will look close to this when I’m done.

Do you make the mold by hand or CNC? Looks like you do great work from what i've seen on here!
