Posts: 859 Location: MN | Wanted to know how often folks are able to get out each year? By days I mean trips you don't need to spend the whole day out. Edited by NathanH 6/10/2015 7:52 AM

Location: Eastern Ontario | According to my wife too many. Usually 3 or 4 days a week but if fishing at home only 4 or 5 hours a day. From Sept on I try to spend 2 full days a week on the Larry as well as a couple of short days at home.

Posts: 1828 | I'll just note that most of my "days" on the water are really just short trips, like 4 hours in the evening after work.

Posts: 815 Location: Waukee, IA | I estimated 15 separate days each year, but when I fish a day it's pre-dawn 'til pitch black at night. I don't live close enough to the lake to be able to fish only peak hours so I just put more hours in. I'm beginning to think it's counterproductive.

Posts: 386 | I work shift work, 4 on and 4 off....so depending on the weather, and what the girlfriend has to say, I try to get out at minimum of 2 days every 8. Sometimes just for 4 hours but if the weather looks good I've been known to turn a 4 hour day into 12 quite easily.

Posts: 20219 Location: oswego, il | Being a FIB I.am completely weather dependant. Length of winter, heat of summer, it can vary quite a bit but I picked 31-40.

Posts: 2691 Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | I live 1.5 miles from the launch. I put over 70. Is that too much? Lol. Never enough time on the water between May and late October. Once the rut starts the end of October you will not find me in my boat. I will be in a tree looking for a trophy Whitetail Buck. Then its back to muskies till the season ends.
