Location: Wisconsin | Been using this knot for almost 30 years on everything, never have lost a fish due to it. Mono or braid. |

Location: Waukee, IA | The trilene has been, and will continue to be my favorite knot for all lines. For braid I just run a couple extra wraps and have NEVER had it fail. IMO the test was flawed because Berkley suggests 5-7 wraps, so they halved the suggested method. I only prefer it to the palomar because it's easier to tie and eats up less tag line. Normally the tag line portion would be a non-issue, but I fly fish a ton so tippet consumption is an issue. Both the Trilene and palomar are nearly 100% reliable, just person preference. |
