Posts: 859 Location: MN | Who makes the best Hair Spinnerbait? Getting ready for the MN show and plan to pick up one or two. All the ones I have are Flashabou or Rubber. Saw Ghosttails makes some that look nice on their website.

Posts: 34 | Fudally was the first to make a muskie spinnerbait so I think they know a thing or two about them! Believe they are calling the one Don is talking about the Goon Hawg as Tom Fudally first made the spinnerbaits to go thru the slop back in the hayday on Wabigoon. The Stump Hawg is by far the most copied of his spinnerbaits and the M&G was just a fancier version of this bait except they went with a twisted eye instead of a wrapped eye and the twisted eyes all break if you speed troll them for very long. Ghosttail makes a beautifully tied spinnerbait. The long arm and Colorado blades really go thru reeds and timber well. Lighter wire frame for more vibration. CJ's are the highest quality of the spinnerbaits but incredibly hard to get as Chris is very busy with family life and a demaning job. Slither (the old Marv's spinnerbaits) Tackle will also have a booth at the show and they have a variety of different spinnerbaits. Musky Safari also make some cool looking and very different spinnerbaits in their Serial Killers. Inhaler Tackle and Bucher Tackle also make some nice hair spinnerbaits. I know there are more, but these are the hair ones that are readily available. LOTS more options in rubber and flashabou! Personally, give me a big 'ol Fudally Hawg Spin Tandem or a Rad Dog Tinsel Dog Tandem!

Posts: 1084 Location: Aurora | Think it's also appropriate to mention the Eagle Spin considering the MN expo is upon us. A beautiful little number George himself (and possibly his wife) used to whip up. Little harder to find of course. Attachments ---------------- ![]()

Posts: 2687 Location: Hayward, WI | Ghost Tails are good. I picked up a couple of the Slither spinnerbaits last year and really liked them on LOTW. Might pick up another one or two from them this year. They have a lot of bucktail tied baits and also some marabou skirted baits that cast really nice.

Location: SE Wisconsin | Long Tales were the best when they were around! I'm glad I ordered a couple of them from Jason before he shut it down.
