TI xxh will be a great, perhaps one of the best non custom choices there are for those lures.

in terms of reels the probable best would be the tranx hg. but that is a big reel and not for everyone. and expensive.

other reels like the lexa 400, calcutta d/te, revo NaCl, saltist would work too, probably.

If you can afford a tranx hg best big rubber reel there is. And if you can afford
a tranx go all out and buy a custom rod.

The rod you mentioned with either a Tranx or Saltist (depending on $$) would be great for big rubber, me thinks.

Another quad X option is the new Toothtamer XXXXH.
Haven't used one yet but I heard you can actually rip a pounder with minimal tip flex if that's yer cup of tea.

I don’t really have an opinion on the best rod but as far as a reel, I don’t think you can find a better value than the Saltist.

Check out the Chaos Shock and Awe. Its the perfect off the self rod IMO. The Tranx HG is the best reel for the Job but I just couldnt get comfortable with mine.
