The indicator lights on my onboard charger are not lighting up when plugged in. The batteries were just put in today and have been fully charged, but I wanted to check the charger to see if it was working. I am not sure if the lights are not coming on because the batteries are fully charged or is the charger dead?? Do these things have a life span?? Mine was new with the boat in '97.
Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.

When mine gets plugged in the lights come on. The first one I had went bad after 2 years and I replaced it with a different kind. Make sure all your connections and fuses (if any) are good, extension cord, outlet or circit breaker, broken wire to the batteries. It would not be the first time it was something simple instead of a major repair or cost (assume nothing), yes I have done that and it cost me.
