Mr. Long,
It was suggested that I leave my message on the Message Board at the Musky First web site, but I do not know how to use the message board.
So, here goes. Since I saw you were the "Research Guru," I thought I would try you.
My son is 38 years old and likes to catch Muskies (in Wisconsin).
When he was younger, I found a small hard cover book at the library.
It was written as if the musky was talking and thinking.
It was interesting in that it gave the musky's habits and it's likes and dislikes.
It was a neat book--even for my kid's mom. (I read the book first.)
I wonder to this day if this book was the reason why he likes to catch and throw back muskies.
Well, have you ever heard of this book? And if you have, do you know the name of it?
Hopeful, Jan and Steve

Location: Eau Claire, WI | Hi. I gotta dig tonight but I think you are talking about "Ma-Kee" or "The Mighty Muskellunge" by David Reddick? Same book but they changed the title. Not totally written on a children's book level but for a preteen/teen would be good.
If for a real young kid, it might also be "The Musky Hook" but I can't remember if its the fish doing the talking. Seems like it was the kid going to a tournament or something like that.
Let me check it tonight and I'll post back. These are two that I've acquired but only skimmed so need to refresh my memory.
Either way, both of these are fairly easy to find.
Hope this helps,
Jono
