This is the time of year that everybody is looking at new equipment or
doing Maitenance on old equipment. I am in the market for a new reel
and am looking for some views on on these two models. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

I'd have to say that they are pretty similar. My favorites are my Calcutta TEs but a regular Calcutta vs a CVZ, I might lean toward the CVZ. They are really smooooth and cast extremely well. Calcuttta is nice too though. If you can, try both, fishing the baits you typically use on the rod you are going to put it on and go with the one that feels best to you.
