I know the eastern shore of Green Bay is generally more rock, gravel, and sand, but do any of you have a general starting place to search for weed beds? I am not looking for specific launches persay, but general locations to search from?

Thanks for any advice or input!!

Honey Harbor is a good starting point and a day with a guide will shorten the learning curve. They play a different game up there. Make sure your boat is up to it that water can kill you.

Georgian Bay or Green Bay?

If Green Bay, look to Dennis Radloff. He guides up and around Sturgeon Bay in mid summer til fall. At least he used to. I've been out of touch for a few years.

I believe that Dennis Radloff retired from guiding about 2 years ago.

I have fished the west side of the bay, but there can be a lot of boats hitting the same weed beds. I am just curious if anyone can help me out with a starting place to find weeds on the east shore?

Keyes is wrong.

Didn't know Dennis retired from guiding.

Some great fishing in and around Little Sturgeon and Sturgeon Bay. I haven't been there in years, so can't say if all the muskies moved away, but I'd bet not. I'd seen some fish while eye fishing around Horshoe, and Chambers. Again, that was a few years ago, maybe 2011, as I sold my last boat in 2012.

I watched that Keyes episode, they did not say exactly where on the bay but I got the impression they were well north of sturgeon if even on that side. Good show.

It is no secret that there are fish on the east shore. And there is less pressure. Or at least there was..... But there is also less weeds and spots and fish.

It's cool that Keyes has made almost a whole season out of the bay but that's not going to help with the already ridiculous amount of boats out there now.

They whole bay has fish, even the big lake has a few. There is a reason most people fish the west shores, more fish, more weeds, more fish. If you want to learn the east shore start south and move/troll north. Highest populations of fish planted in GB so I would start there. Its the bay so find the perch and walleye and you will find the skies
