There is a line though from out of balance to not work at all. Paul's baits have that perfect "imbalance". Other baits like the headlock do as well.

Posts: 73 | The Pelagic definitely looks sweet, and I definitely could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure most of that " walking" is being achieved by whoever is holding the rod moving it side to side on a short line for the camera. The video seems to support this if you really watch it. Still cool tho!

Posts: 1202 Location: Money, PA | I actually have two youtube vids for you guys to see. First is a 4.5 Lil Hammer Scatter being trolled at 4.5 mph. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSWfVWKfYEw&list=UU0WLPg7EXzu53Dn79p... The second is the larger 7 3/4" Bero Sledge Hammer Scatter trolled at 4 mph. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWsV4LXxnz4&list=UU0WLPg7EXzu53Dn79p... The faster the bait is trolled the tighter the hunt action will be; if I slow the speed down, the lures have a wider path....enjoy. If I had underwater footage, it would show the action even better....If anyone could help me with this, I'd appreciate it....would love that for my website!

Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | ne more walking lure that I've done well with is the Musky Magnet made by Kermit Good, particularily the 5" and 9" straight models and the 5" jointed. The 5" will walk nicely on the cast or rip.

Posts: 1202 Location: Money, PA | There is no walking Wiley...Of course, you can get some Wileys to kick randomly, but there are none with a consistent "hunting" action. IMO his best bait was the original square lip fatbody, but he no longer makes them with the square lip.
